I have been working with Reach Digital Health for the last 8 years, creating open source solutions using Django and Python, to help our most vulnerable citizens live healthy and empowered lives.
Green coding is an environmentally sustainable computing practice.
In this talk we'll be discussing how to put this into practise in our Python applications, practical advice for improving the efficiency of our code, and common pitfalls to avoid. We'll also look at the larger picture and environmental impact of everything that goes into creating and running software.
This talk is for developers at all levels interested in reducing their carbon footprint.
You will leave with an improved awareness of what to prioritise and a toolset for how to make a meaningful difference.
