What we build together
PyConZA is more than a conference. It exists to open doors, connect people, and plant seeds that grow into careers, projects, and stronger communities. The event is volunteer-run and non-profit — money raised goes directly to making Python more accessible for people who would not otherwise have the chance.

How we work
PyConZA is run by volunteers. Donations go directly to participants and programming. Organisers contribute their time because they believe in what we are building.
No overhead, no salaries — donations pay for tickets, travel, and the Beginner's Day workshops.
Why this matters
Tech is growing across South Africa, but learning opportunities are not equally available everywhere. Supporting PyConZA helps remove barriers that keep talented people out.
It also builds bridges between developers who would otherwise work in isolation. For some attendees, PyConZA is the event that turns Python from a hobby into a career — and turns career into contribution.
The people we support go on to support others in their own communities. The impact multiplies.
